Ride Hailing

Mijo provides a platform where owners and drivers of various transportation options can offer ride-hailing services to users. Through Mijo, users can book transportation to get from one location to another, selecting from a range of options available in their area.

On the mijo platform, three types of transport options are available:

Motorbikes

Commonly known as Okada or Zemija in local languages, motorbikes have become an affordable and accessible mode of transport
across many parts of Africa, though they are restricted in some countries. Mijo partners with verified motorbike riders to offer transport services on the platform.

Rickshaw

Known locally in Ghana as Aboboya or Mahama Camboo, rickshaws are another popular mode of transport with a growing presence across African economies. Users can choose to share a ride with others or reserve it for themselves.

Taxi

Taxis, or cars, are the most widely recognized mode of transportation. Verified drivers on the Mijo platform provide reliable taxi services to users.

The mijo platform allows users and drivers or riders to negotiate fares directly. Once an agreement on the fare is reached, it is recorded in the app. Mijo does not set or control pricing for rides; users and providers determine the cost between themselves.
